Membership Covenant
I will spend daily time with God.
Joshua 1:8 “This book of the law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it; for then you will make your prosperous, and then you will have success.”
Psalm 55:17 “Morning, noon, and night I cry out in my distress, and the Lord hears my voice.”
I will attend church regularly and faithfully.
Hebrews 10:25 “Not forsaking our own assembling together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another; and all the more as you see the day drawing near”
Acts 2:46 “Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts.”
I will tithe 10% of my income to the ministry of Bryan 1st AG.
Leviticus 27:30 “A tenth of (all your) produce… is the Lord’s and is holy.
I Corinthians 16:2 “On every Lord’s Day each of you should put aside something from what you have earned during the week, and use it for this offering.”
I will find a ministry position at Bryan 1st AG.
I Peter 4:10 “Serve one another with the particular gifts God has given to each of you.”
Ephesians 4:11-12 “So Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers, to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up.”
Philippians 2:4-5,7 “Each of you should look not only at your own interests, but also the interest of others. Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus: Who… (took on) the very nature of a servant.
I will change habits and practices that are unscriptural and that create disunity within the body.
Romans 14:19 “So then, let us aim for harmony in the church and try to build each other up.
Ephesians 4:29 “Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen.”
I will be committed to personal growth and to the growth of Bryan 1st AG.
Philippians 1:27 “Whatever happens, conduct yourselves in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ.”
Romans 15:7 “So warmly welcome each other into the church, just as Christ has warmly welcomed you; then God will be glorified.”
I will be committed to winning others to Christ.
Matthew 9:37-38 “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.”
